Sisal rope

General

Sisal rope is a natural twine, made from sisal fibres, originating from the agave plant. It expands in dry conditions and contracts in a humid environment. It yellows with age and extended exposure to UV. Sisal rope has a rough texture. As a natural product, it is 100% biodegradable.

Sisal rope in small diameters (8mm) is often used for cat scratching posts. Due to its rough texture, it is also much used as packing rope. In addition, it has numerous decorative uses.
