Cotton twine

General

Cotton is a high-quality fibre used frequently in the textile industry. It produces a strong material, resistant to heat, chlorine and sunlight. The fibre has very little elasticity and high absorbency. As a natural product, it is 100% biodegradable. Twines and Ropes has its own production of three ranges: Macramé twine for hobbies and decorative use, versatile baker's twine (multi-coloured) and, finally, a food-approved variety, butcher's twine.

Macramé twine

Macramé twine made from cotton is eminently suitable for art and craft work. Its soft texture makes it highly popular for making bracelets and its resistance to sunlight makes it suitable for larger works of art, too.

Baker’s twine

All-round multi-coloured twine, historically used for tying up cake boxes. Nowadays, this is a versatile, colourful twine for home, garden and kitchen use. Schools and hobby clubs are also big customers.

Butcher’s twine

100% natural cotton, organically bleached or reactively dyed. This twine is food approved and therefore ideal for the meat sector (abattoirs and butchers), as sausage string or cooking twine.
